VARO is an integrated oil refiner and supplier serving North West Europe. Given EU policy legislation on sustainability for road transportation, IRP Delft was asked to investigate opportunities to meet future criteria by increased biodiesel blending. To this end the project team investigated the biodiesel market in Argentina including future capabilities to produce biodiesel from waste streams. Based on the research the team advised VARO on opportunities and challenges regarding the Argentinian market.
