Heineken is a large global brewing company known for its diverse portfolio of beers, including United Breweries Limited (UBL), a key player in the Indian market. The expected increase in beer sales in India presents significant opportunities for UBL. To effectively anticipate this surge, IRP conducted a comprehensive analysis of UBL’s barley procurement system. This project involved investigating the Indian barley market, interviewing stakeholders, and evaluating sourcing methods. The deliverables included the design of an integrable application to optimize procurement processes, along with actionable recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability throughout the value chain.
