ASML is an innovation leader in the semiconductor industry. They provide chipmakers with everything they need – hardware, software and services – to mass produce patterns on silicon through lithography. The IRP Delft team supported the Reuse Department, which is a cross-sector team within ASML striving for a more circular business.
The goal of the project was to define a strategy to maximize the reuse of ASML’s machine components. A decision-making process was set-up, containing an organizational structure on which people and what resources are needed to maximize reuse. Knowledge and data are gathered by conducting around 50 interviews and setting up three worldwide pilots. The team can proudly say that the pilots have been validated positively and the implementation has started.
